A video I made in northern Japan to celebrate the explosion of cherry blossoms after a long winter. The song is called "sakura" which means cherry blossoms and the two kanji that pop up mean "cherry blossom" and later "flower viewing."
Well, pink is not my thing, but I though dried lavender would be lovely! The bride shared the site were she bought her dried goods, Dried Flowers 'R' Us, and obviously, I had to take a look to see if dried flowers was the secret mecca of having affordable florals.
Well I didn't find any crazy revelations, but I did find these!!!
With winter wedding thoughts dancing in my head, I thought these would be great to fill out any flower arrangements I would have!
Adding this lovely woodsy, wintery element to real flower bouquets/centerpieces/etc will help make them look more grand, large and full without paying nearly as much for real flowers!

Photographs should be memorable. Choosing a location that is already close to your heart is a great first step. Add in two amazing people that are truly in love... well you will see what I am getting at below. In short, you really cant go wrong with these ingredients!
This San Diego Engagement Session took place at Adam's Park in Valley Center. Wheres that? Good question!!! Its a small town in North County that I grew up in. Anywho, the park is very small so I think Ian and Chandra were really trusting that there was a method to my madness. And it just so happened that the local Boy Scouts were having an awards ceremony in the park, which made our photographic playing field even smaller! Ian and Chandra were great sports though and didn't mind at all. In fact, apparently this was the same troop Ian was apart of as a kid! There wedding is taking place at another paradise of a different type, somewhere that is also very close to my heart, Quail Gardens! If you haven't been there, please head to Encinitas this weekend. It costs a few bucks to get in, but it is absolutely amazing, words just cant describe. My wedding was also here, so I am very excited about being a San Diego Wedding Photographer at Quail Gardens this summer!!!

Getting to capture Ray and Orio’s wedding was very special. There wedding day started at Wilson Creek Winery in the bridal suite with hair and makeup. Holly did a fantastic job on the hair and makeup. I got to take a photojournalist approach during part of the day, which is always fun for me because I live for the natural process of shooting those candid real life emotions of love and excitement!
They say its always sunny in Temecula, well then they are wrong! While I was photographing the groom’s pictures we began seeing some dark clouds roll in. The father of the bride began storm chasing on his smart phone and trying to predict if the ceremony should be held outside or inside. Like I've said in the past, every wedding has at least one event that is unplanned, Orio’s unplanned event just happened to be rain. So the ceremony was moved inside and everything went on.
The wedding facilities at Wilson Creek are top-notch. I was really impressed with all of the open space they’ve got. It was very comfortable in the ballroom and photographing in their lighting was great. I think Orio had some say in the purple lighting, and I really like how colorful it made some of the photos.
As a passionate Temecula Wedding Photographer, every opportunity to capture someone's BIG day is special to me. One of my favorite moments at this wedding was when the groom brought Grandma out on the dance floor in her wheelchair. Her face lit up like a Christmas tree! And they started boogying to the music!
Oh yeah, and the Bride and Grooms first dance was the BEST I have ever seen, seriously. Well they are both professional dancers, so I thought they may be planning something special, and they didn’t disappoint. It was awesome, hopefully some of the photos I captured kind of tell the story. Overall it was a great wedding at Wilson Creek and I hope to have the opportunity to shoot there again, especially since it is like 8 minutes from my house!
