As a wedding photographer, I really appreciate when I get to shoot for my own selfish pleasure, with no assignment or shot list! That was the case for this awesome hike with my wife at the Santa Rosa Plateau in Murrieta California. My wife and I love to be outdoors and under the sun, despite the first sunburn of the year we had an awesome time. The lady at the visitor center was very nice and gave us a map showing our 8 mile hike for the day. We had lunch and water packed and headed out into this pristine natural environment. We saw tons of Engelmann Oaks on these rolling green hills that went for miles and miles. It was great, and right here in Murrieta off of Clinton Keith Rd!
We also saw some wildlife; coyotes! My instinct was to sneak up on them and become Mr. National Geographic, but instead I was smart enough to have a wife with me to keep me on the trail. Here is an image I grabbed of one of the coyotes. And then a cropped version for a zoom effect.
There were tons of wildflowers along the hiking trails, but only a few California Poppies.
We had a great time in the outdoors and just being together. We highly recommend this hike, especially this time of year in the spring.

I had a great time hanging out with the Duffs and capturing some family photographs! They are a very comedic bunch and I think I was smiling more often than them, hahaha! At one point I was adjusting some settings on my camera and then when I looked up to take a shot Byron was holding up a mask with two eye holes that he had made out of a palm branch! :) I couldn't stop laughing!!!
Aubree and Joseph are getting married this summer, so I will probably get to capture some more family shots of them soon! You can tell from the photos below that they are all a very tight knit bunch. I know a lot of times these days once the kids grow up they move far far away. So it was inspiring to see a family that has stuck together through the years. After all, family is forever!
Just so I can submit my application to Weddingbee and get a BRUNCH ICON!!!
You have no idea just how much I love food, especially brunch food, especially sweet brunch food!!! (yeah I have a major sweet-tooth :P)
I could be Miss Cinnamon Bun or Miss Waffle or Miss French Toast or Miss Pancakes or Miss Crepe or Miss Tartlet or even Miss Pain Au Chocolat!
AHHHHHH!!!
(Well, I kinda wouldn't be able to apply anyways, because an applicant's wedding is supposed to be less than 8 months away, and I highly doubt we would get married in 8 months from now, XD)
(And I'm not really serious, this is more of a post displaying my love of food and my love of really cute Weddingbee icons)

Title: The End of Europe - Mark Steyn (3 of 5)
Mark Steyn provides a reality-check for the European continent. Islam is rapidly replacing the native culture at a frightening rate.
France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Italy etc have engaged in unplanned migration of millions of Muslims over the past 20 years. With the ongoing and extremely rapid global demographic decline of wealthy European nations (who simply refuse to have large families), and the exploding Muslim immigrant populations in their midst, the issue of Islam can no longer be ignored.
Waking up in an Islamic culture in the near future is a very real threat facing the European people. Mark Steyn explains why -- with undeniable clarity.
Title: Alex Breaks Down McCain & Lieberman's "Enemy Belligerents" Bill on The Alex Jones Show
Dissenters To Be Detained As Enemy Belligerents?
Paul Joseph Watson

Since the establishment media is convinced that tea party members, 9/11 truthers, libertarians, Ron Paul supporters, and basically anyone with a dissenting political opinion is a likely domestic terrorist, they should be celebrating the fact that a new bill would allow the government to detain such people as enemy belligerents indefinitely and without trial based on their suspected activity.
The Enemy Belligerent, Interrogation, Detention, and Prosecution Act of 2010, introduced by Senators John McCain and Joseph Lieberman on Thursday with little fanfare, sets out a comprehensive policy for the detention, interrogation and trial of suspected enemy belligerents who are believed to have engaged in hostilities against the United States by requiring these individuals to be held in military custody, interrogated for their intelligence value and not provided with a Miranda warning, writes the Atlantics Marc Ambinder.
The full bill can be read here (PDF).
The bill does not distinguish between U.S. citizens and non-citizens, and states that suspected belligerents who are considered a high-value detainee shall not be provided with a Miranda warning.
A person is considered a high value detainee if they fulfil one of the following criteria.
(1) poses a threat of an attack on civilians or civilian facilities within the U.S. or U.S. facilities abroad; (2) poses a threat to U.S. military personnel or U.S. military facilities; (3) potential intelligence value; (4) is a member of al Qaeda or a terrorist group affiliated with al Qaeda or (5) such other matters as the President considers appropriate.
