Title: Metric White gold
White Gold appears on the album Grow Up & Blow Away. One of the many songs I love from Metric. :D
The Lyrics to the song.
Piss-poor, ridin high
Sunbathing fireside
We're here for the porn and the sirloin
Get your T-bone, let your backbone slide
Tunnel and sky collide
Lose friends to the airwaves and the airlines
I wanna make it right
Some future in my eyes, bright
Hush, don't explain
When you water down my name
I'll be up too late
Call me when you get
Better at your game
You haven't beat me yet
The waitress, the actress
Got the skin and the bones
With a hairbrush and an airbrush
She'd be white gold
She asked the piss-poor
"Why you lookin' for that party in the sky?"
It's just a movie about a movie too old to die
But I'm gonna make it right
Future in my eyes, bright
Hush, don't explain
When you water down my name
I'll be up too late
Call me when you get
Better at your game
You haven't beat me yet
Though my vision is straining
I'm gonna make it right
Some future in my eyes, bright
Hush, don't explain
When you water down my name
I'll be up too late,
Call me when you get
Better at your game
You haven't beat me yet
Today is the Premier of Rue and if you haven't heard of it yet, it's a gorgeous online design magazine that's creating a wonderful buzz on the web. (You can read my personal favorite segments on my blog, The Shopbug.)
For couples who are preparing for a wedding, Rue features MaeMae Paperie, as Megan Gonzalez shares her design style and philosophy, a tour of her studio, plus a set of free printables.
Chelsi and Eric planned a beautiful destination wedding on the border of California and Arizona. It was held at a new resort out in the desert. This was my first destination wedding, and I cant wait to do another. It was a real blast and kind of turned into a semi-vacation.
My wife Rachael was my copilot and we had a great time together. Blasting music, telling jokes, talking about hair, etc… Oh yeah she really likes hair, and once she’s out of Paul Mitchell Hair School she wants to team up with me at weddings. Not shooting photos but styling awesome hair, as updos are her fav.
Back to the wedding story… Eric and Chelsi were a pleasure to photograph, and their happiness made it real easy to tell their story with photographs. Eric looked like the proudest guy in the world after the “I do”. And I could tell Chelsi had been looking forward to this day for sometime. The family, colors, weather, food, and everything came together for a perfect destination wedding.
And here is Eric, the groom, getting ready below!!! Well, mentally at least, its important have a clear head when you get up to that alter!!! This last shot was requested by the resort, as this was there first wedding. So after being escorted by security onto the roof, I leaned over the edge until Rachael’s grip on my shirt wouldn't let me out any farther, and I took the shot. I don't know what she was worried about, it was only 4 stories high!!!
