Wedding Vow Renewal in Valley CenterWedding Vow Renewal in Valley CenterTime is the ultimate test of truth. For 25 and 30 years of marriage these two amazing couples have shown what true love is.

I was honored to get to capture them renew their wedding vows in my hometown of Valley Center. The ceremony took place adjacent to my old high school at Saint Stevens Catholic Church. As you can the inside of it is absolutely gorgeous.

After the ceremony and some family photos we were of to the shrimp boil to celebrate. Yeah, these shrimp were almost the size of small lobsters and they were delicious. Ill have to get Jim's recipe somehow because they were amazing! As the night grew on the photos became more and more comical. In the end the best part was getting to reminisce with old friends, talking about little league home runs and high school football... good times, good times indeed!Wedding Vow Renewal in Valley CenterWedding Vow Renewal in Valley CenterWedding Vow Renewal in Valley CenterHeres a link to view the slideshow of all of the photos from the event: http://anibaldi.zenfolio.com/crawshaw/slideshow#h25cfdd5f.

Title: Themis Wiccan Wedding and Handfasting Vows Renewal

Our single most important goal is having a good time; a good life together; being happy; and sharing that happiness with you if that is your choosing. Blessed be.
- The Countess and Ruffian Angel
Themis

Ceremony excerpts:

If in the morning when you wake
If the sun does not appear I will be here
If in the dark we lose sight of love
Hold my hand and have no fear I will be here.
I will be here
When you feel like being quiet
When you need to speak your mind I will listen
Through the winning, losing, and trying well be together
And I will be here
Renewal Vows
This Oath or pledge continues today, tomorrow and forevermore:
When you are sad, I will dry your tears.
When you are scared, I will comfort your fears.
When you are worried, I will give you hope.
When you are confused, I will help you cope.
And when you are lost, and can't see the light,
I will be your beacon, shining ever so bright.
This is my oath; I pledge to the end.
Why you may ask? Because you are my lover and friend.

What has this year meant to me, because to the depths of me, I have loved one person, with all of my heart, my mind, my body and my soul.

I have a forever friend who I have trusted with the intimacies of me, who has not held them against me, who loves me when I am unlikeable, who sees the small child in me, and looks for the divine potential of me.

I have someone to cuddle in the warmth of the night with someone who is thankful, with someone I feel blessed to hold and be with.

What is Love?
Love is a friendship that has caught fire.
It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving.
It is loyalty through good and bad.
It settles for less than perfection, and makes allowances for human weakness.
Love is content with the present.
It hopes for the future and it doesnt brood over the past.
Its the day-in and day-out chronicle of irritations, problems, compromises, small disappointments, big victories, and working toward common goals.

If you have love in your life,
it can make up for a great many things you lack.
If you dont have it, no matter what else there is,
it is not enough, so search for it, ask your soul for it, and share it!

Title: SUPRISE 30yr Wedding Vow Renewal by Elvis in Las Vegas

On 9/2/07, I surprised my wife of 30 years with a wedding vow renewal at "A Elvis Chapel" in Las Vegas (elvischapel.com). I had her believing we were going to be riding a bus from the Paris hotel down to a local Red Lobster - a restaurant chain where we traditionally celebrate our anniversaries. When the limo drove up, I dropped to one knee and asked her to marry me again. She was in a state of shock and could only laugh...well we whisked her away to the chapel where we renewed our vows. In the video, the ring I give her, was the very same ring I gave her 30 years ago. It had been broken for some time and I snuck it out to a jeweler and had it fixed. It was a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy the video.....
