Yummy Black Beans and Rice

Rice is my all-time favorite food. Even when I was young, and all the other kids loved pizza and ice cream, I stuck with my rice. My Grammie used to joke that I should have been born somewhere in Asia. She would always cook me a pot of rice when I stayed home sick from school.

I definitely will be making this for dinner next week. Well, maybe the fiance will make it for me, he's the real chef in the house. But I will definitely sit in the kitchen and pseudostudy while this is made.

Due to the number of people and high concentration energy, I was fore-warned about the combination! I cannot get enough of garden weddings.  This is an afternoon wedding in a farm in California. I love the bride's  simple below-the-knee dress, the invitation card, the orange + peach motif, the quilted tent, the peach flower boutonniere, the rustic table settings, and the beautiful green surroundings bathing in the soft sunlight.

Darrer Sant Jordi, darrere parada de llibres en imatges

Aquest Sant Jordi, tenia un regust especial, perquè com és prou sabut la llibreria familiar, per jubilació de ma mare,la Dolors que a molts ja troben a faltar abans d´hora, vam celebrar darrer Sant Jordi, dia dels llibres i les roses, amb parada al carrer, el darrer després de molts anys de consells, de selecció de novetats locals, comarcals i nacionals. L´accés a la cultura és una necesitat, i quan cada cop hi ha més consum cultural, per contra cada cop hi ha menys llibreries arreu. Malgrat tot,observar com un reguitzell de criatures, s´endinsaven vinguts de les escoles locals a observar això de les parades,ara que fins i tot es fan campanyes nacionals de foment de la lectura, li augura un futur esplendorós. Les noves tecnologies i no es parla tant, hi ajuden i ajudaran molt , en d´altres formats, en fomentar-ne. I els jocs florals, de l´escola Pública Alfred Mata, de ben segur que a Puig-reig, no podrà faltar en un 23 d´abril, però l´hàbit de la lectura i del coneixement pel coneixement com una forma de formar , aprendre i veure-hi més enllà i asumir l´ignorant que som i el que ens queda per conèixer, cada cop tindrà més adeptes. Per molts anys diada dels llibres i les roses, que ambdós , a un cantó o altra de la parada , no podran faltar a Puig-reig i a milers de parades d´arreu del país i del món.
