Inici d´estiu en imatges, dels camps a mig segar i el fruit de la terra enbalat

Com no pas pocs, el cap de setmana de Sant Joan, és un bon moment per desconnectar, una primera instantània d´un camp del municipi veí de Santa Maria de Merlès, vora la riera de merlès i les dues segones, en aquest cas a Forallac, al Baix Empordà, als volts del nucli preciós de peratallada , entre ullastret i llabià, en un triangle, que amb anys com el 1994 que aquí patíem incendis dantescos, - per cert FECSA encar sent surt 12 anys i només queda via civil dels afectats, llastimós-, allà al Baix Empordà tenien un llac natural sorgit de la crescuda de la riera del Daró, fet que alguna masia de la zona conserva per si de cas, avui en dia una barca per si queda negada de nou, un prodigi de la naturalesa, facilitat per la planúria de la zona, i per anècdotes, un pot trobar inclús un aeròdrom emmig de camps amb avionetes de vol a motor com a servei de franc per alguna casa d´agroturisme de la zona, un prodigi de la reconversió de la pagesia entre camps polits de palla com a pista d´aterratge i enlairament.
I es que l´inici de l´estiu, oficialment el 21 de juny, ha iniciat amb temperatures altes, i la gran majoria associa immediatament a la platja, i reivindico l´ofici de pagès, trencant tòpics, us il·lustro algunes imatges que m´hi transporten més a l´estiu, potser per entorn social d´un humil Berguedà que viu al cor de Catalunya envoltat encara de força camps de conreu en zones properes: l´inici de la sega del blat, l´ordi, cànem o d´altris, fet per un ofici, el de pagès, que aviat s´haurà de pagar amb recursos públics per tenir gent al territori disseminat, com a vigilants del bosc i el sotabosc, vist que la majoria s´han de buscar alternatives per guanyar-se la vida , tipus agroturisme, fet reeixit aquí al Berguedà, tot un referent dins el país, per continuar treballant la terra dels avantpassats en una majoria i fidels al territori, i que sovint no omple cap portada de premsa generalista, però val la pena veure camps que recullen la collita de blat, ordi i d´altres per part de grans màquines mecanitzades, com una normalitat del fruits de la terra, que d´alguna manera o altra, degustarem més tard o d´hora, i que aquest noble ofici , perduri pel bé de la catalunya rural, que "urbanites" i gent de pobles inclosos, també en gaudim en el nostre temps d´oci, que no es valora i menys es manté observant la brutícia de deixalles de massa vorals del país, signe que l´autoestima per la terra per part de moltes persones, encara li queda molt recorregut per a assolir per valorar el nostre entorn quotidià.

Ian + Chandra | A Garden Wedding at Quail Botanical Garden’s

Ian and Chandra’s wedding at Quail Garden’s was a photographer’s dream. There was waterfalls, exotic flowers, butterflies, soft light filtered through jungle trees, and of course the main ingredient; genuine true love. As I went back and forth between the guys and girls rooms, it was obvious that Ian and Chandra were both very excited to get married.

They choose the Walled Garden area at Quail for the ceremony. The other option was the Gazebo area, which is where I was married a couple of years ago. Both have their advantages. What I liked about Quail’s Walled Garden for the wedding ceremony was the lighting and intimacy. The area is made private by a stone wall, and stretching over that are jungle trees almost 50 ft high. Thus, evening weddings, after 4pm, are for the most part in the shade. This is good for everyone the bridal party, guests, and wedding photographer.

As a San Diego Wedding Photographer, I am always trying to capture creative photographs. The photographic opportunities at Quail Garden’s are endless. With the diverse landscaping, there are hundreds of different angles, levels, backgrounds, and lighting options to choose from. I wish we would have had more time to walk around the garden’s with the Ian and Chandra. But after the group and family photographs there was only 20 minutes till intros at the reception. So we utilized the nearby waterfall area for bridal portraits and then headed off to the reception at the gazebo/lawn area.

The wedding reception was also beautiful. There is little decorating to do at Quail since there are amazing natural floral arrangements everywhere. In addition, the floral arrangements designed by Brooke Clay at Valley Center Floral were gorgeous. The bouquets and arch display was all very high quality and looked as fresh as the flowers blooming out of the grown. Another vendor that I highly recommend is Julie Stroh’s Catering based in Valley Center. Don’t get me wrong the food is delicious, but the best part about their catering is the service. They are very friendly, professional, and reliable, definitely a no-brainer if you are planning a wedding in San Diego’s North County.

In short, Wedding Photography at Quail Garden’s is like capturing a fairytale wedding. I pray I will have more opportunities to photograph weddings at Quail Botanical Garden’s in San Diego, of couples that are as sweet and down to earth as Ian and Chandra. Obviously, it is one of my favorite weddings Ive photographed in San Diego. And not just because I was also married at Quail!

Menorca, la calma s´encomana en terra ventosa i sense turistes a l´hivern

Menorca, que té una icona alternativa, captiva per la persimoniosa naturalitat que s´encomana. El paisatge captiva per la seva verdor, pròpia de muntanya i de pastures, que hi són, tot i ser una illa reserva de la biosfera. Majestuoses aus a l´albufera, carreteres amb pocs cotxes, urbanitzacions comprades per estrangers alemanys i anglesos, que formen pobles desèrtics almenys aquest desembre.. i un vent que xiula i xiula, que fa que les portes de les cases tinguin una obertura distinta per no estar obertes de la tramuntana illenca. Bons formatges artesants i bona sobrassada, sens dubte. I què cal dir de les platges, distintes segons les zones, algunes a voltes accesibles, altres rodejades de cases blanquejades de turistes que hi treuen cap tan sols els estius. Està a un punt d´estar ocupada, preocupats per turisme de temporada, 7 pobles, indrets sorprenents i bona senyalització viària i zones d´aparcament, almenys ara.
La parla catalan de sonoritat tancada encandilai requereix habilitat de descobrir-hi "ido", "cotxo", "sa gent", i que no es perdi com a valor a la diversitat de la llengua comuna.
Ara bé, ni centre d´artesania obert, ni de la natura a les tardes a Mercadal són oberts,els principals comerços hotelers, bars, establiments i comerços tancats de la illa, si hi vas fora de temporada, els aboca a un peix que es mossega la cua pel turista que hi busca un valor afegit. Si no hi ha serveis atractius, els turistes no vindran fora de quan faci sol. Aquest és el seu drama i la manca d una oferta cultural àmplia , almenys a les ciutats referents de Ciutadella o a Maó. Que les urbanitzacions despersonalitzades, per molt que siguin amb colors blancs, no es reprodueixin i es donin més a le speculació immobiliària de portentosos acaudalats foranis, i siguin nuclis tranquils, sostenibles, però amb un futur d ´una vellesa talaiòtica, amb parets a pedaços de terrenys per parets típiques cosides arreu. La essència hi és, que no es perdi, ara que hi són a temps. Aquí teniu una mostra que vaig recollir-hi recentment, per assaborir la part més bella d´una illa tranquila, un ritme veritablement menorquí de vida encomanadís.

I cannot get enough of garden weddings.  This is an afternoon wedding in a farm in California. I love the bride's  simple below-the-knee dress, the invitation card, the orange + peach motif, the quilted tent, the peach flower boutonniere, the rustic table settings, and the beautiful green surroundings bathing in the soft sunlight.
